Gerbou’s interiors reflect Emirati fusion cuisine through a design rooted in local culture. Housed in a 1980s building with traditional Emirati architecture, it has been thoughtfully updated into a sophisticated yet contemporary space. Hosting nearly 200 guests across indoor and outdoor areas, it offers a casual vibe by day and fine dining at night.
The design celebrates UAE heritage with artisanal details, sustainable materials, and modern craftsmanship, drawing inspiration from traditional crafts, local nature, and maritime history.

Gerbou’s interiors blend natural materials, brushed metallics, and tactile finishes, with fluid forms and locally inspired patterns in warm neutrals accented by amber, emerald, and teal. The design also highlights collaboration, featuring bespoke pieces created with Tashkeel and local designers.
The dining area features a variety of seating options, including a mocktail bar with an embossed liquid metal bronze relief of a Ghaf tree, symbolically bringing people together under its ‘shade’.
The washrooms celebrate the UAE’s fishing and pearl-diving heritage with custom fish-patterned wallpaper and rippled bronze ceilings reflecting the Arabian Gulf. Modern abstract fish motifs adorn the floor tiles, while a pendant light crafted from discarded fish scales, highlights the venue’s sustainable ethos.
Special attention was given to ensuring a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces, that are unified by a consistent aesthetic. The outdoor dining space provides a serene retreat in cooler months, featuring a dry bar, sunken fire-pit seating, and private areas framed by sculptural screens. Native landscaping and heritage Dubai breeze-blocks behind the bar add an authentic, nostalgic touch.
